a. Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC)

 

BOCAIP offers two models of OVC care which are Early childhood development and education and family care. Early childhood development and education model is offered in Molepolole, Selibe Phikwe and Maun and Family care is offered in Maun and Gumare. Activities for orphans include:

  • Empowerment activities
  • Counselling and life skills
  • Therapeutic holiday camps
  • Early childhood care and education
  • Child counselling
  • Caregivers workshops

 

b. Community TB Care (CTBC)

BOCAIP’s interventions include:

  • Administration of TB treatment at the patient’s home
  • Education sessions on TB and HIV to TB patients
  • Education sessions of TB infection control to the families of TB patients
  • Health talks to the community at public settings such as shebeens, churches, schools, kgotlas, and clinics.
