This centre began as a satellite of Tsholofelo Counselling Centre which is based in Lobatse. In October 2002, it was upgraded to centre status.
The activities of the centre include counselling, community outreaches, OVC care, and support groups for people affected and infected by HIV and AIDS and resource mobilisation. The PLWHA support group has started an income generating project where members make AIDS ribbons and cushions. They also have a vegetable garden where they grow vegetables to supplement their diet.
The centre also implements CAP project which targets couples and young people with the aim to reduce HIV incidence rate among them. The CAP activities include marriage enrichment activities, community outreaches, DC outreach sessions and conducting risk reduction assessment planning and support to individuals who perceive to be at risk.
Stakeholders and partners are DAMSC, the government, the police, the business community, hospitals and clinics, schools, other community based organisations, home based care groups, the tribal administration and the Church.
