The overall goal of the project is to ensure that communities are measurably contributing to the achievement of the 90-90-90 targets in Botswana in the 7 PEPFAR priority districts. Building on the achievements made in year-one, the APC project in year-two continues to address the following objectives:
- Promoting increased utilization of integrated community-based services in support of the first 90 and prevention objectives;
- Promoting Improved linkages to care, adherence to anti-retroviral therapy (ART) and tuberculosis (TB) drugs, and retention in care through community-based efforts in support of the second and third 90’s;
- Promoting changes in gender norms and reducing the impact of gender-based violence (GBV).
BOCAIP is currently the implementing partner responsible for success of the Project in Gaborone District. The services included here are as follows:
